EQUESTRIAN PROGAM
HORSEMANSHIP

Understanding of the horse is central to our program. Not just how to ride, but how to communicate so that a relationship between horse and human can be achieved.
TRAINING
Southern Oaks Equestrian Center is renowned for its quality training program. From colt starting to problem horses to wild mustangs, our students will have the chance to observe and take part in the training of various horses. Students will also be assigned their own training projects, commensurate with experience.
MANAGEMENT
Education in the management of a equine facility is paramount to a complete equestrian education. From veterinary and farrier care to nutrition, we strive to let our students experience all aspects of the equine industry.
RIDING
​​With daily lessons, both on schoolmasters and on training horses, students will have ample opportunities for riding. While this is not a show-focused program, Southern Oaks does take part in local and recognized dressage and hunter/jumper shows, and has an active IEA team that competes in regional competitions.
